M Cellars Winery’s Dry Wine Favorites / January Winemakers 4 pack

  1. Blanc de Noirs
This complex, traditional method sparkling wine is a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Despite consisting of two red grapes, this sparkling wine is white, due to not utilizing any contact with the grape skins. This wine is soft with a creamy texture and features tree fruit notes, such as yellow apple and Asian pear, as well as red fruits like strawberry and raspberry. This wine finishes with a hint of ginger and marzipan. Try this wine with oysters, soft cheeses like Brie or Camembert, or dishes featuring mushrooms or truffles.

  2. Pinot Gris
This light bodied white is crisp and bright with notes of lemon and peach on the nose. On the palate, this wine features notes of green apple and a stony minerality, with a clean finish. Try pairing this wine with seafood or shellfish such as tuna or shrimp, a fresh pasta primavera, or creamy cheeses.

  3. Meritage
Our flagship wine is a Bordeaux-style blend of 62% Cabernet Franc and 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in French and American oak. This wine features notes of red cherry and currant, as well as vanilla and cola. Subtle tannins add complexity to this smooth wine. Try pairing this wine with lean cuts of beef such as sirloin or filet, grilled burgers, or sharp cheeses such as cheddar or Gouda

    4. Teroldego

Made from the Northern Italian grape, Teroldego, this dark, rich red features earthy and floral violet notes on the nose. Its chewy tannins are balanced with pomegranate, raspberry, and blackberry bramble flavors on the palate. Pair this wine with duck, lamb, spaghetti carbonara, or hard cheeses.
